When Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is saying that the stampede happened due to lack of coordination between the TTD Chairman and the EO, senior YSRCP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Botsa Satyanarayana asked why Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was silent and not taking any action against them.
He deplored that the Chief Minister is acting so indifferently in this matter and unable to initiate any firm action against those responsible for the saddest incident. Moreover, he asked when Pawan Kalyan will perform penance, saying that the departed devotees will not return to life even after he apologizes. He said that Pawan Kalyan, who had made a fuss in the name of penance in the matter of Tirumala Srivari Laddu, has now apologized and kept quiet.
Referring to Pawan Kalyan’s suggestion that TTD Chairman and EO should apologize, Botsa wondered, will their sins be washed away just by apologizing? Will the lives of the lost devotees be restored? He alleged that even if there was no adulteration in Tirumala laddu, a lot of commotion was created.
The YCP leader accused that from the time of three parties coalition government came to power in the state there has been tarnishing the prestige of Tirumala and the faith of devotees in the TTD administration is waning. Botsa said that just by suspending the officials over the scuffle incident, justice has not been done to the victims.
He sought that the AP High Court should take this incident as a suo moto and conduct an investigation with a sitting judge, considering the news in the newspapers. Botsa lamented the blocking of former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who came to Tirupati to visit those injured in the stampede. He criticized the coalition parties for playing dirty politics by saying that when Jagan went to visit the injured, they gave cover to them and made them talk.
