The BJP leadership seems to be wondering over AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s aggressive tirade against Pakistan on the issue of cross border terrorism, apart from strongly condemning the Pahalgam terror attack. He has been expressing his anger over the statements made by the leaders of that country on this occasion, like never before.
He took strong exception to Pakistan People’s Party leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s comments that blood will be shed if India blocks the waters of the Indus River. He has asked people to remember who killed his mother, former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, and his grandfather, former President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
“If they (terrorists) shoot your mother, it is terrorism. When they (terrorists) kill our mothers and daughters, is it not terrorism?” he asked angrily. Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi has termed Bilawal Bhutto’s remarks on India as childish. “Forget such childish remarks. He doesn’t know what happened to his grandfather?”, he said.
Moreover, “His mother was shot dead by terrorists. So at least he shouldn’t talk like this. Do you even know what you are talking about? You cannot run the country unless America gives you something. You talk like this to show us off,” he criticized.
On the other hand, Asaduddin Owaisi was furious over the threats of Pakistani leaders to target nuclear bombs. He made it clear that no country, no matter how powerful, will remain silent if innocents are killed in a country. He questioned what religion you are talking about.
“The way you attacked our country and shot them after asking for religion is worse than the Khawarij (Muslim apostates). You are ISIS sympathizers,” he said, slamming the Pakistani leaders.
Owaisi also got angry over former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi’s comments on the Pahalgam attack. He reacted strongly by calling him a joker. Responding to a question from a journalist about Shahid Afridi’s comments, Owaisi said, “Who is he? This is a drama. Why are you bringing the names of jokers in front of me?”
He said that talking about people who are of no use is a crime. Owaisi demanded that Pakistan be placed on the Financial Action Task Force’s ‘grey list’. He asked the Indian government to decide what to do and what not to do against Pakistan sponsored terrorism. He clarified that his demand is to put Pakistan back on the FATF grey list and that this is necessary.
