Telangana state BJP President N Ramchander Rao expressed concern that the education system in the state is completely in a disarray “ and asked Congress government to first resolve student’s problems.
Addressing a gathering after performing Lord Ganesh puja at state office here, Rao said he prayed for best future of people of state and also “he prayed Lord Ganesh to grant wisdom to the state government to solve problems of the students first and urged Revanth Reddy government to give importance to resolve problems of students.
Referring to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent visit to Osmania University, Rao lamented that his visit failed to produce any concrete solutions. He said that the people, particularly students, expected that the Chief Minister will discuss problems of the University, but , instead of discussion on the problems he just said “I will come again and left”.
Criticizing the handling of the education sector by the state Congress government, Rao alleged that research work in universities in the state have been affected as the Revanth Reddy government has failed to recruit several posts of professors and other teaching staff.
He also pointed out that free reimbursement arrears in thousands of crores of rupees are still pending, forcing poor students to drop out of their studies because they can’t get their certificates. Rao extended warm wishes to the people of Telangana on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi which was celebrated with great fervor.
Pooja ceremony was attended by a host of prominent leaders including Abhay Patil, MP Konda Visweswar Reddy, MLAs Rakesh Reddy and Venkata Ramana Reddy, Andhra Pradesh MLA Parthasarathi, MLCs Anjireddy and Malka Komurayya, BJP Tamil Nadu and Karnataka State Assistant Incharge Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, BJP Telangana State Organizational General Secretary Chandrasekhar Tiwari, and BJP State General Secretaries Gujjula Premender Reddy, Dugyala Pradeep Kumar, and Dr. Kasam Venkateswarlu. Several former MLAs and other leaders also participated.
