Telangana BJP President Ramachandra Rao expressed concern over the information received from the police that BRS groups may attack media institutions like ABN- Andhra Jyothi and lamented that BRS leaders are acting recklessly. He said that the attacks by the pink ranks on media houses are evil and demanded the government to provide protection to media houses.
He has directed BJYM activists to immediately provide protection to ABN – AndhraJyothy premises. He made it clear that if anything is written wrong, legal action should be taken, but there is no point in sitting idly by and watching if we take the law into our own hands and carry out attacks. He warned “Khabaddar, if any attacks are carried out on media houses and innocent people from now on, we will not keep idle”.
He said that the BJP respects media houses and if false news is written intentionally, they will take legal action, but will not carry out attacks. He asserted that BJP is a party that respects freedom of speech. The BJP state president warned BRS leaders, saying, ‘Be careful before attacking media houses… we will see the end of T News’.
Meanwhile, Ramachandra Rao said that his party is taking the upcoming by-election to the Jubilee Hills assembly seat as a challenge. He said that it is not possible for the ruling party to win the by-election if there is a strong opposition in the fray. He revealed that the BJP will announce a full-fledged state committee in the next 25 days.
He said that a new committee will be formed after discussing with key leaders in the party and giving due priority to all social groups. He explained that there are no factions in the party and everyone will work unitedly, adhering to the party’s principles. He said that the BJP did not pay much attention to local body elections in the past, but this time it will focus specifically on them.
He also expressed anger over the Congress government’s statement that thousands of children are studying in the college built by MIM MLA Akbaruddin on the land of the Salkam lake in Old City and that their lives cannot be destroyed. He questioned whether there is one justice for Akbaruddin? and another justice for the poor?
He asked whether the lives of those studying in Akbaruddin’s colleges are important and the lives of thousands of poor people living in the Musi catchment areas should not be taken into account? Will the illegally constructed Akbaruddin College building be demolished immediately? Or not? Otherwise, BJP state chief Ramachandra Rao issued an ultimatum to the Congress government, saying that he would do the work himself on behalf of the people.
