BJP New Telangana chief says He Is Not weak, But Emerged From struggles

Friday, December 5, 2025

Strongly refuting BRS and Congress social media campaign against his elevation as Telangana BJP president, former MLC N Ramachandra Rao asserted that he has emerged as a leader from several struggles, beginning from his student days.

He said that he had fought for students and lawyers in the past and will fight for the people of the state now.

He said that jumping is not about opening one’s shirt pockets, but about making sacrifices for the ideology he believes in.

“I am not as gentle as you think. When I was in Osmania Campus, I went to jail 14 times for the students. I was lathi-charged by the police. I staged a dharna in front of the assembly that day to arrest the Naxalites who killed Jitender Reddy. My hand was broken in the lathi-charge”, he said.

He challenged Congress and BRS leaders that “It is not about trolling on social media. If you have the courage, you should come out and fight.” He accused the leaders of those parties of not having the courage to publish anonymous papers and circulate them on social media. He warned that cases will be filed against those who spread false propaganda and sent to jail.

He accused that both BRS and Congress parties have flagged that social media universities are being set up to spread fake news. At a program held in Manneguda on Tuesday, BJP state president election returning officer and Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje handed over the appointment letter to Ramchandra Rao. She announced that he was elected unanimously.

Later, Ramchandra Rao made his first speech as the party president. He said that a democratic and developed Telangana is possible only if the BJP comes to power. He said that the people of the state want the BJP to come to power. He called on the party ranks to increase their strength in the local body elections. He said that the decisions taken after discussing with everyone in the party will be implemented.

He called on every worker to work hard if they want to hoist the saffron flag on the Golconda Fort. “We have reached this level with discipline and commitment to ideology. Now our goal is to bring the BJP to power in the state,” Ramchandra Rao said, calling on the party ranks.

He said that the BJP is a party that works on the basis of ranks, people and ideology. He said that there is no difference between new and old in the party. He said that everyone should come together to strengthen the BJP.
