BJP Rajya Sabha member and OBC Morcha President Dr. K. Laxman lamented that the Congress party for using YS Sharmila in Andhra Pradesh and Kavitha in Telangana as pawns. He alleged that the Congress is inciting younger sisters against elder brothers both there and here.
He alleged that the heads of the families of former Telangana Chief Minister KCR and former Chief Minister of the united Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhara Reddy had acquired assets indiscriminately when they were in power, and now, after losing power, disputes have arisen in the families due to differences in the distribution of assets and positions.
He said that the members of those families are now on the road due to these disputes. He alleged that the younger sisters, who once became arrows for their elder brothers and sisters-in-law, are now aiming arrows at their older brothers for power and assets.
He flagged that these two families are acting in Telugu states in such a way that their family needs and inheritance are more important than the needs of the people. Laxman recalled that when YS Jaganmohan Reddy lost power in Andhra Pradesh, YS Sharmila was incited against him and now she is being tied to the post of PCC president.
Similarly, he alleged that in Telangana the argument that KCR’s daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha is also being used as a pawn for their political interests is gaining strength. He made it clear that the main reason for these family disputes is the illegal assets acquired by their fathers and the differences in the distribution of political posts after losing power.
Dr Lakshman asked how the letter written by Kavitha to KCR was leaked and said that MLC Kavitha’s conspiracies will not work in the state, He wondered if Kavitha opposed KTR’s leadership in Telangana BRS? He alleged that Kavitha has not spoken about social justice for ten years, but the Congress party is moving such pawns with Kavitha out of fear that BJP will come to power in Telangana.
He reminded that the Congress has also used Sharmila in this way in Andhra Pradesh. He made it clear that Kavitha is fighting for her own existence and that people do not welcome those who are involved in liquor cases.
