BJP MLA Sujana Choudhury Deplores coalition Regime Too Ignoring problems of Amaravati Farmers

Friday, December 5, 2025

Former Union Minister and BJP MLAr Sujana Chowdhury expressed  concern that even though the coalition government came to power, the methods of the previous government are continuing, especially the problems of Amaravati farmers are still unresolved. He recalled that the farmers who gave their lands to the state in the name of capital construction are still waiting for justice.

Sujana Chowdhury expressed his anger that even after 15 months of the change of government in Andhra Pradesh, the problems of Amaravati farmers have not been resolved. He said that the Speaker had said during the previous meetings that two hours would be allotted to discuss the problems of Amaravati farmers, but expressed surprise that that time has not come yet. Sujana Chowdhury revealed that he had also written a three-page letter to the Speaker, asking why it is not being discussed in the Assembly?

He said that it is unfortunate that the ruling party has not addressed this issue in the Assembly. He believed that the lack of a comprehensive discussion in the Assembly on the issue of the capital, which is crucial for the development of the state, is against democracy.

At the same time, Sujana Chowdhury commented that the previous government had made many mistakes in terms of the environment. He accused the coalition government of also following the same path without correcting those mistakes. He demanded that the government take immediate steps in that direction to resolve the problems of Amaravati farmers, saying that firm policies and transparent discussions are needed.

When Chandrababu Naidu took charge as the Chief Minister for the fourth time, he himself announced that he was giving top priority to the construction of the capital, saying A for Amaravati, P for Polavaram. He is also making plans with the intention of making Amaravati an international-level city.

Many plans are being made, such as Amaravati International Cricket Stadium, Amaravati International Airport, Amaravati Quantum Valley, Amaravati Sports City. However, Sujana Chowdhury’s comments that the situation of the Amaravati farmers who protested against the three capitals during the YSRCP regime is the same. are creating a stir in AP politics.
