More than any TDP leader, it was BJP MLA Adinarayana Reddy said to have played a key role in TDP creating history by winning the Pulivendula ZPTC by-poll . He was active in implementing the strategies and planning of the TDP leaders to defeat the YSRCP in Jaganmohan Reddy’s constituency. Under his guidance, from the time the campaign ended to the last minute of polling, everyone performed their responsibilities properly.
They took advantage of all the available opportunities. As a result, the results were one-sided. The goal of defeating the YSRCP without getting a deposit was achieved. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu assigned the responsibilities of Pulivendula to former minister Adinarayana Reddy, who was previously a close friend of the Jaganmohan Reddy’s family and later took the lead in attacking Jagan. TDP leaders fully supported him.
The day before the election, they prepared a sketch of how to behave during the polling. They implemented the plan precisely. No matter how much criticism they received, no matter what level of allegations they received. They went ahead with the goal of winning. They achieved the goal of winning in their political rival Jagan’s constituency.
Adinarayana Reddy won as MLA from Jammalamadugu three times in a row. In 2014 he had won as YSRCP MLA, but soon defected to TDP only to join Chandrababu’s cabinet. After defeat in 2019, he shifted to BJP. From the selection of the Pulivendula ZCTC by-poll candidate, B.Tech Ravi, the district in-charge minister Savitha, along with the party district president and other leaders coordinated.
During Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime, YCP created history by winning local bodies polls in Kuppam constituency, represented by Chandrababu Naidu from 1989. Now, after winning Jagan’s own ZPTC, it seems TDP has settled its political score, in which Adinarayana Reddy played a key role. It may be recalled that YCP leaders alleged that there were Jammalamadugu voters on the day of polling.
Meanwhile, Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna expressed happiness over the election results and said that the elections were held in Pulivendula in a democratic manner, and if India gets independence on August 15, then Pulivendula get independence after 40 years with these elections.
