BJP gives the choice to CBN regarding the grand alliance

Sunday, December 22, 2024

The Union Government at the Centre, NDA has called in for an all-party meeting with its alliance partners today and the meeting results in election strategy along with the roadmap to the allies. Even Janasena got invited since it’s an alliance partner but TDP, a former alliance partner was left out without an invitation. To clear the air, none other than the BJP Chief has spoken regarding the political tension between BJP and TDP.

It is a known fact that TDP held hands with BJP for many general elections but it cut off the ties in 2018 as a protest against the NDA for not fulfilling the promises for the Andhra Pradesh post bifurcation. Even though TDP went to elections in 2019 with UPA, it immediately withdrew from the partnership the moment it lost the elections in both the Telugu States. Cut to the present, neither BJP invited TDP nor Chandrababu Naidu was looking forward to an alliance with the NDA. At this juncture, the BJP National Head JP Nadda spoke to the Press this morning and declared that it is Naidu’s wish whether or not to be a part of the alliance. He added that it was TDP that walked away from the NDA and he left the choice to the opposition leader of AP to join again or go alone.

Since the Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan is positive to go along with TDP for the 2024 polls in Andhra Pradesh, TDP maintaining silence would put him in a perplexed situation since he is already an ally of NDA. One has to wait and see if Pawan Kalyan takes any decisions as far as the future alliances of AP are concerned.
