Launching a vitriolic attack on the functioning of Congress government, state BJP President N Ramchander Rao alleged that the Revanth Reddy government has utterly failed in all fronts and state administration was affected with “paralysis”. Speaking at “ Meet the Press” function organised by Telangana Journalist Union, Rao criticized the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) and the government’s handling of the Group-1 Mains examinations.
He noted that the High Court has identified irregularities and a lack of proper management. He said this has exposed the flaws in the state’s public service commission system. He recalled that CM Revanth Reddy had promised to release a job calendar and provide employment notifications. But he failed to conduct even a single exam properly, which he described as a sign of the government’s incompetence, he alleged.
Rao alleged there is no proper maintenance of roads, drainage system, electricity and security measures in the GHMC limits as a result people are being killed due to electrification. He further alleged that state administration has been affected with paralysis.
Rao accused previous BRS and current Congress governments of playing with the future of students. The BRS government was known for “ paper leaks “ and branded the present Revanth Reddy government as “ hope breakage”.
He deplored that CM Revanth Reddy had promised Rs 1000 crore when he visited OU last month, but ignored problems of OU. The government has not filled up vacant posts of professors, staff, halted research, and insufficient labs and equipment have been severely impacting the quality of education, he added.
Alleging the state government of being negligent and jeopardizing the future of students, the BJP chief urged the state Congress government to concentrate on the education sector and improve the education system in the state. Rao said the Congress party has promised to fulfil its six guarantees and other promises within 100 days after coming to power. But 22 months have passed, and the Revanth Reddy government has failed to keep its word.
He asserted that the state’s financial situation has deteriorated significantly. The BJP chief questioned the status of the investments promised by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy from his foreign trips who had announced crore of rupees investments from foreign countries where he visited. He called these trips a waste of money, saying they brought “zero” benefit to Telangana.
On the issue of CBI inquiry on the Kaleshwaram project, Rao demanded a comprehensive CBI investigation into the entire project, not just a few barrages, to uncover all instances of corruption and irregularities related to quality, maintenance, and construction.
