BJP Legislative Party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy alleged that the Revanth Reddy government has awarded Rs 400 crore worth contract to Sodha company, owned by Chief Minister’s brother-in-law Srujan, who was involved in an excise scam.
According to him, the Revanth Reddy government was involved in large scale corruption to the tune of Rs 1200 crore in awarding works related to Rs 3,000 crore funds provided by the central government under the Amrit scheme. He demanded a probe by CBI and ED into this scam.
He said this amount was divided into three works, of which Rs 1100 crore worth works were awarded to Mega Krishna Reddy in Chief Minister’s own district, against whom the state government is conducting a judicial probe in Kaleshwaram Project scam. BJLP leader wondered when a judicial probe is going on how can the state government award contract to the same company, without blocking it?
Moreover, Maheshwar Reddy alleged that all the estimates were prepared by the contractors themselves by hiking the amount in which Rs 1000 crore was proposed for works valued Rs 600 crore only. The BJLP leader protested that why the tender documents are not being put in the public domain.
He lamented that the Revanth Reddy government is not keeping not a single GO in the public domain. He accused that the state government resorting to under-hand dealings with contractors without putting GOs in the public domain.
Demanding an answer from the Chief Minister on his allegations, he challenged whether Revanth Reddy is ready for a probe into these dark deals’? He alleged that during the last seven months the chief minister has been locked up in several suchdark deals’.
He asked whether the Chief Minister is ready for a probe into Hetero drugs land allotment and corruption in civil supplies? He alleged that the chief minister is likely to hand over Kodangal projects also to Mega Krishna Reddy.
