Bhatti Vikramarka says Quality, Uninterrupted power supply In Telangana

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu explained that there will be quality and uninterrupted power supply in Telangana state. He discussed many issues on the development of the power sector at the conference of power ministers of southern states held under the auspices of the Union Power Ministers in Bengaluru.

Explaining the progress and plans of Telangana state in the power sector, Vikramarka said that steps are being taken to meet the growing demand and to facilitate coordination of various power sources by strengthening the internal power transmission network in the state. Plans for a significant expansion of transmission lines and transformation capacity in Telangana were explained on this occasion, he said.

The need to formulate a long-term plan up to 2034-35 also came up for discussion. Strategies to improve the performance and financial position of power distribution companies were discussed. The focus was on reducing technical and commercial losses, ensuring financial stability of the power sector and taking measures to ensure continuity of investment and service delivery.

Rapid development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure The need to accelerate the establishment of electric vehicle charging stations was discussed in the conference. Deputy Chief Minister explained the steps being taken by the Telangana State to facilitate the connection process to charging stations on this occasion.

He said that goals were set for the development of the electric mobility system in the state. Issues such as cyber security measures in the power grid and increasing the response capacity in emergency situations were discussed. The need for robust systems to ensure quality and reliable power supply under any circumstances was highlighted.

The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted the proactive approach being taken by the Telangana State to meet the future power demand. He also explained the plans to improve grid stability through renewable energy projects and pumped storage projects.

It was clear in this conference that the national energy goals can be achieved by working together between the states and the Centre. Union Energy Minister Manohar Lal, Union Minister of State for Energy Shripad Yasso Naik, Karnataka Power Minister K.J. George, Tamil Nadu Power Minister Sivashankar and others participated in the meeting.
