Film actor and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna expressed confidence that his father and TDP founder NT Rama Rao will be awarded Bharat Ratna during the NDA coalition’s regime. In a surprise visit to his native place Nimmakuru on Thursday, he garlanded the status of NTR and Basavatarakam and paid homage.
Speaking on this occasion, he said, ‘My father, the late NTR, was a great man who contributed to the progress of the Telugu nation. I believe that this great man will definitely be awarded the Bharat Ratna during the NDA coalition’s rule.’ He spent some time at the house of his close relative and said that he is indebted to those who supported him as a child of NTR.
He said that he is very happy that the Indian government has recognized his services and awarded him the Padma Bhushan. He said that the encouragement provided by the Telugu state governments for the development of the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital is unforgettable.
Balakrishna revealed that a cancer hospital will be built in the AP soon He announced that the film Aditya369 will be released again next month as per the wishes of the fans. He said that plans have been made for the construction of a 30-bed hospital in Nimmakuru, the development of bypass roads, and the reconstruction of a house on his father’s land.
Sarpanch Padamati Srinivasa Rao, Nandamuri Sivaramakrishna, Jayakrishna Prasad, Surapaneni Chandrasekhar, Kudaravalli Lakshmanaswamy, Raghuramaiah, Balakrishna Program In-charge Poranki Gandhi and others participated in the program.
Upon learning that Balakrishna had come to Nimmakuru, NTR’s wife Basavatarakam’s native village Komaravol former Sarpanch Kakarala Haribabu, Venu and others met him. They took pictures with Balakrishna. But, they were shocked when Balakrishna became angry on their invitation to visit their village also stating that ‘Where is Komaravol? I will not visit during this life time’.
They said that they invited him to their village expecting it would help for the development of the village, but deplore he is angry because someone else had done something wrong.
