Avinash Reddy in trouble as Supreme Court cancels Anticipatory Bail

Sunday, July 7, 2024

YS Avinash Reddy faces CBI investigation in the YS Viveka murder case as his anticipatory bail request is denied. The Telangana high court ordered the CBI not to arrest him until the 25th of this month, but YS Sunitha petitioned the Supreme Court to cancel the order. The apex court canceled the bail and criticized the Telangana High Court for interfering with CBI operations.

Avinash’s lawyers requested the Supreme Court to stop the CBI from arresting their client until the Telangana high court concludes the ongoing case. However, the Supreme Court rejected the plea, stating that it would not issue such orders. The case will have a hearing in the Telangana high court tomorrow, but with the Supreme Court’s stern comments, it is unlikely that Avinash will receive any relief from the high court. As a result, it seems clear that an arrest is imminent.
