YSRCP-led AP Government has topped the charts within the country in Telemedicine services to the citizens of the state. It has provided emergency medicine and medical aid to the remotest places of Andhra and stood as an example.
AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy has got a reason to smile as the state has seen phenomenal growth in this Telemedicine service which came into effect during the Coronavirus outbreak. This service provides specialist medical services through telecommunications round the clock and it has been quite effective in AP. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, AP has provided services to as many as 1.86 crores of its state’s citizens which comprise 30% of total India’s beneficiaries of 6 crores of patients through this Telemedicine. AP is followed by the states of West Bengal with 86 lakhs of patients and Tamil Nadu with 62 lakhs of people respectively.
Finally, the AP Government has a reason to smile amidst a huge anti-incumbency among the voters with the state. On the flip side, AP CM Jagan wanted to provide Arogyasri to as many eligible voters as possible to make his mark before the general elections to win yet again.
