Icon star Allu Arjun’s visit to Nandyal during AP Assembly elections has created a huge uproar across the state. A war of words also raged for a few days between YSRCP and Jana Sena leaders and activists. Alliance leaders as well as Mega fans expressed their anger against Allu Arjun.
While Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan contested against YSRCP in alliance with TDP and BJP, at the same time, Allu Arjun campaigning for Nandyal MLA YSRCP candidate Shilpa Ravichandra Reddy created a huge stir in AP politics. At that time, there were reports that Allu Arjun and the Mega family had differences.
Now, again this incident has again become a hot topic of discussion in AP. But this time, instead of Allu Arjun, it was retired IPS officer Raghuveer Reddy, who was then the SP of Nandyal. The state government has appointed Intelligence IG Ramakrishna as the investigating officer to investigate the allegations made against Raghuveer Reddy in connection with this incident.
Moreover, Anantapur DIG Shimuni was appointed as the presenting officer. Issuing orders, AP Chief Secretary Vijayanand directed them to conduct an investigation into all the allegations registered against Raghuveer Reddy and submit a report.
Raghuveer Reddy served as the SP of Nandyal during the 2024 elections. As part of the election campaign, Shilpa Ravichandra Reddy contested as the YSRCP candidate from the Nandyal constituency. Film actor Allu Arjun, who is a friend of Shilpa Ravichandra Reddy, met him as part of the election campaign.
Allegations were leveled against the then SP Raghuveer Reddy that he had allowed Allu Arjun to tour and hold a large-scale rally in Nandyal while the election code was in force. However, on the same day, while the then opposition leader and present Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was on a tour of Nandyal.
Allegations were leveled against Raghuveer Reddy that he had allowed a YSRCP rally to compete with Chandrababy’s visit. The then election officials registered a case against Raghuveer Reddy at that time for acting in a way that created a law and order problem. There were allegations that SP Raghuveer Reddy acted in favor of the YSRCP and ignored the rules.
