The NDA government led by CM Chandrababu Naidu has been focusing on women’s welfare and empowerment. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, it has decided to provide financial security to women. Sewing training centers will be opened in all constituencies across the state from the 8th of this month to provide employment to women.
They will be trained for 90 days under the guidance of experts in tailoring. It is known that the Chandrababu government is already giving three gas cylinders free of cost to women in AP. Now, it will also provide training in tailoring and provide free sewing machines to women and contribute to their livelihood.
It is said that Chandrababu Naidu has taken this decision in the wake of recognizing the crucial role that women play in the development of society. The government has decided to provide sewing missions to 1,02,832 women belonging to the BC, EWS and Kapu communities in 175 constituencies across the state.
The government is going to spend Rs 255 crore for this. Sewing machines will be provided to 46,044 people through BC Welfare Corporation, 45,772 people from the EWS community, and 11,016 people through Kapu Corporation. The selection program for beneficiaries has already reached the final stage.
Under the auspices of the BC Welfare Department, priority is being given to women not only in tailoring training but also in setting up event management units. The government will also support women beneficiaries in setting up generic medical shops and dairy and sheep units.
AP BC Welfare Minister Savita opined that Chandrababu Naidu is a person who believed that the role of women is crucial in the development of society. She said that on the occasion of International Women’s Day on the 8th of this month, tailoring training will be provided to 1,02,832 women across the state and sewing machines will be distributed. She urged women to take advantage of this opportunity.
