The government is planning to issue a Family Benefit Card (FBC) to every family in AP. For this, it will compile the family information available with various departments and prepare it. The main objective of issuing it is to provide government schemes to everyone who is eligible and to bring them up financially.
It works on the basis of artificial intelligence (AI). As part of this, it identifies the financial situation of a family, analyzes the various government schemes they are already receiving and connects them with what other schemes are needed for the economic development of those members.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) will automatically make the best choice for the family. This will become key to achieving the Swarnandhra-2047 (Vision Document) that the AP government will soon release with the aim of a poverty-free society.
In this regard, the members of the respective families can also view all this information in the mobile app. CM Chandrababu Naidu will discuss this with the officers of various departments, as well as the special chief secretaries, principal secretaries and secretaries, at the Secretariat on December 2. Suggestions will be taken from them.
Minister Nara Lokesh, who was the minister at the time, started the implementation of the Family Benefit Card program in 2019. He gave a presentation on this to the World Bank. Steps were taken to connect all the details in the state data center to it. When the YSRCP came to power, it was set aside.
Various states in the country are currently implementing this policy. The Telangana government is also preparing to issue family digital cards. The government is collecting information about families in various ways. It is selecting the eligible persons based on this and implementing the schemes.
Civil Supplies Department (ration cards), SERP (pensions, savings societies), Village/Ward Secretariat (family information), Panchayat Raj (housing), CFMS (government employees) and other departments have information about families and their members in AP. All this is connected through the Family Benefit Card and brought to a single platform.
As part of the implementation of FBC, a unique ID is given to the family. It contains complete details of their family members. How much benefit is being received through which scheme? It contains information.
If they are eligible for a new scheme, the family members are connected to it and applied. If the beneficiaries do not want any scheme, they can opt out of it on the app itself. The monthly bills and electricity meter details in the family name are visible in this.
