Rajahmundry witnessed a significant event today as State Labour Minister Vasamsetty Subhash reaffirmed the Andhra Pradesh government’s commitment to resolving issues faced by cine workers. The minister attended the swearing-in ceremony of the Board of Directors of the AP Film Industry Employees Federation Cine Workers Housing Society Limited, organized by the Film Chamber.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Subhash urged the Film Chamber and Employees Federation to submit a formal memorandum outlining the challenges faced by cine workers. He assured attendees that the proposal for allocating housing plots to cine workers would be discussed with Chief Minister Chandrababu before finalizing a decision.
Highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s potential as a hub for the film industry, the minister pointed to the scenic shooting locations in the Godavari districts. He also vowed to prioritize employment opportunities for local workers in films shot within the state and cautioned producers against neglecting the contributions of regional cine workers.
Senior Actor Bhanu Chander Expresses Confidence
Senior actor Bhanu Chander, who was present at the event, praised Minister Subhash’s proactive approach. He expressed optimism that the minister’s assurances would lead to meaningful solutions to the long-standing issues faced by cine workers in the state.
