Amaravati: The TDP-led coalition government in Andhra Pradesh is making significant strides in implementing its electoral promises, with a focus on enhancing public welfare. On August 1, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu highlighted a major milestone in the distribution of pensions.
CM Chandrababu announced that the government has successfully disbursed pensions to 64 lakh beneficiaries, totaling Rs 2,737 crore. He praised the achievement, noting that a record 97.54 percent of pensions were distributed in a single day, marking an unprecedented accomplishment.
“This substantial increase in pension disbursement is a testament to our commitment to ensuring financial security for the elderly, differently-abled individuals, and other beneficiaries,” Chandrababu stated. He extended his congratulations to all government employees and officials involved in the program, acknowledging their crucial role in the initiative.
Additionally, the Chief Minister addressed the timely payment of salaries to government employees, emphasizing that despite financial challenges, the state has managed to release Rs 5,300 crore for salaries on August 1. He underscored the vital role of employees and officials in the state’s rebuilding efforts and reiterated the government’s commitment to both their welfare and the overall progress of the state.
Chandrababu concluded with a call to action, encouraging collective effort to shape a brighter future for Andhra Pradesh.
