Singapore: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his team of ministers are currently on a visit to Singapore, where they held a meeting with Dr. Shilpak Ambule, India’s High Commissioner to Singapore. The meeting took place at the Shangri-La Hotel’s Valley Wing on Sunday morning, with ministers Nara Lokesh, P. Narayana, T.G. Bharat, and Andhra Pradesh government officials also in attendance. During the session, the Andhra Pradesh delegation briefed Dr. Ambule about the state government’s policies in key sectors such as healthcare, green hydrogen, aviation, semiconductors, ports, and industrial development.
Dr. Ambule acknowledged the strong diplomatic and economic ties between India and Singapore. He emphasized that the CBN brand holds a special recognition in Singaporean government circles and local industries. He also revisited the earlier collaboration between Singapore and Andhra Pradesh on the Amaravati project, which was later abandoned due to various reasons. Dr. Ambule further noted that Singaporean businesses have shown interest in investing in Andhra Pradesh.
CM Chandrababu Naidu highlighted the new policies and investment opportunities being introduced by the coalition government in the state. He specifically mentioned that Green Hydrogen projects are already underway, and Andhra Pradesh has set an ambitious target of 160 gigawatts of green energy production. Additionally, the Chief Minister pointed out that the establishment of the Google Data Center in Visakhapatnam, along with favorable conditions for defense, aerospace, electronics, and automobile industries in the Rayalaseema region, would provide a boost to the state’s industrial sector. Ministers Narayana and Nara Lokesh also discussed the government’s actions in the education sector, with a focus on ongoing projects and future plans.
