Monday, April 28, 2025

Good governance..transparent governance..real-time governance. These are the catchy words of Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu frequently. It has been many years since the physical file system in the government was gone. Now everything is online. Files can be cleared with a digital signature.

It is not necessary to be in the office for this. Files can be cleared from time to time while staying at home, even when going out. But everyone is a little surprised to see the way files are being cleared in the coalition government, which claims to be a high-tech governance.

In fact, the question of what the ministers are doing without having enough time to clear the files cannot but arise. The files that come to them should be cleared immediately, if there are any doubts in them, they should be sent back and clarified.

On Thursday, at the cabinet meeting CM Chandrababu revealed the rankings of ministers, especially regarding file clearance. What is strange about this is that the most important ministers of Revenue, Finance and Home departments are at the end of this list.

Another special feature is that technology savvy Chief Minister Chandrababu himself at the sixth position in this list. In the first place is Minority Welfare Minister NMD Farooq. In the last place is Labour Minister Vasamsetty Subhash. According to the calculations given by Chandrababu, the rankings of the ministers in terms of file clearance are as follows:

Kandula Durgesh (2), Kondapalli Srinivas (3), Nadendla Manohar (4), Dola Bala Veeranjaneyulu (5), CM Chandrababu (6), Satyakumar (7), Lokesh (8), BC Janardhan Reddy (9), Pawan Kalyan (10), Savita (11), Kollu Ravindra (12), Gottipati Ravikumar (13), Narayana (14), TG Bharat (15), Anam Ramnarayana Reddy (16), Atchannaidu (17), Ramprasad Reddy (18), Gummadi Sandhyarani (19), Vangalapudi Anitha (20), Anagani Satyaprasad (21), Nimmala Ramanaidu (22), Kolusu Parthasarathy (23), Payyavula Keshav (24), and Vasamsetty Subhash is in the last 25th position.

CM Chandrababu questioned the lagging ministers on this occasion, saying, “What if even those with fewer files are lagging behind in clearance?” He cautioned them they should improve their your performance in terms of governance.

“Everyone needs to gear up. The central budget has arrived. Our budget will arrive in March. There will be leftover budget in various departments in Delhi. We need to get those funds,” he suggested.
