The CID branch of Andhra Pradesh State has been investigating the Chit Fund Company of Margadarsi which belongs to the media tycoon Ramoji Rao. The team has now sent summons to the latter asking him to attend for questioning in the upcoming days.
The State government directed the AP DIG to take action against the complaints received against the Margadarsi in the past and after a lot of developments, the Additional DGP of CID after a thorough investigation declared Ramoji Rao, the owner of the company and his daughter in law Sailaja Kiran as the main accused in the whole fraud of chit funds and breaking the trust of the customers. However, the CID wanted to deepen the probe and sent a summons to both Ramoji Rao and Saialaja Kiran to attend before them in the Guntur office branch. Ramoji Rao got questioned from his hospital bed when the Eenadu head was ill and the entire questioning was recorded. Even Sailaja Kiran was grilled for eleven hours in her home when he returned from her USA trip.
According to the AP CID, the chit-fund company of Margadarsi violated many chit-fund acts according to the law and even moved the assets and funds of the customers without their notice. FIR was registered and many sections were imposed on the group and now everyone is waiting whether Ramoji Rao would show up for the investigation or not.
