A video of Venkatesh Naidu, one of the key accused (A-34) in the liquor scam, counting bundles of crores of rupees in a den has come to light exposing YSRCP leaders involvement. Venkatesh Naidu is a close aide of YSRCP chief and former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and the close associate of former MLA Chevireddy Bhaskara Reddy, an accused in the same case.
The SIT has already stated in its primary charge sheet that more than Rs. 3,500 crores were looted through bribes alone in the liquor scam. The SIT officials who retrieved the data from the cellphones of the accused who were arrested recently have seized key videos. Many such videos have said to be found by the SIT.
If you look at the video that is causing a stir in the hearts of YSRCP leaders, you can see bundles of 500 and 100 rupee notes tied in a room. While Venkatesh Naidu is counting them, another person is filling the bundles of notes in cardboard boxes. Judging from the bundles of notes there and the words spoken by Venkatesh Naidu, it is understood that the amount is 5 crore rupees.
However, where was this money moved at that time? The SIT is investigating in depth to whom it was given. SIT officials believe that this video is from 2021. Raj Kasireddy’s team collected money from liquor distilleries and supply companies and kept it in various dens in Hyderabad and Tadepalli from time to time. From there, the money reached the then government officials.
The money hidden in these dens was distributed to YSRCP candidates in the last elections. Venkatesh Naidu, who converted his house in Krishi Valley Apartment in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad into a den, acted as a handler for the money in it. From there, Chevireddy’s team collected money and brought it to AP.
In this process, Venkatesh Naidu took videos related to that den and some other dens and put them on his phone. Venkatesh Naidu is a real estate businessman in Hyderabad. The SIT investigation found that Chevireddy and Venkatesh were involved in storing the money received from liquor bribes in a den and passing it on to the leaders of the previous government.
As soon as they came to know that an investigation was underway on their involvement, the two tried to flee to the Maldives and Malaya via Sri Lanka. They were identified by the SIT officials while they were at the Bangalore airport and arrested on June 18. Venkatesh Naidu often used to meet the key accused in the liquor case, Peddireddy Mithun Reddy, Jagan’s OSD Krishnamohan Reddy, Vijayasai Reddy, and Bharathi Cements Director Govindappa Balaji.
