Andhra Pradesh Government Increases Financial Aid For Flood Victims

The Andhra Pradesh government recently announced financial assistance for flood victims and has now decided to increase this aid. In accordance with Chief Minister Chandrababu’s announcement on the 17th of this month, R.P. Sisodia, the Special Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department, issued orders today.

The government will provide additional financial assistance beyond the amounts specified by the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF). This aid will benefit victims in 179 village/ward secretariats whose houses were inundated.

Specifically, the assistance for those whose homes were flooded has been raised from ₹11,000 to ₹25,000. For victims in first-floor apartments, the aid has increased from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000. Additionally, shops that were damaged by the floods will receive ₹25,000 in assistance, as mentioned in the orders.

The government has also stated that assistance will be extended to those in the commercial, business, and MSME sectors, and it will provide housing for those whose homes were destroyed.
