While the post-poll violence in some highly sensitive areas of Andhra Pradesh has kept the police personnel and the ECI on tenterhooks, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy embarked on a two-week vacation with his family starting this Friday. He will return from abroad on June 1st, as per his party sources. The election results are going to be announced on June 4th.
It is a known fact that Jagan Mohan Reddy sought permission from the CBI court in Hyderabad to travel abroad along with his wife Bharathi and two daughters. After asking the CBI to file a counter on Jagan’s request, the court has granted him permission to travel outside India for two weeks. Jagan and his family will tour some European countries in these two weeks.
Before boarding the special flight, the YSRCP president was given a send-off by some of his partymen, like Jogi Ramesh, Kottu Satyanarayana, Nandigam Suresh, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Raghuram, Uday Bhanu, and Malladi Vishnu, at the Gannavaram airport. After the completion of the elections, Jagan went to the IPAC office in Vijayawada and thanked the team for their efforts in effectively promoting the party’s electioneering campaign.
After touring all over the state with a high-decibel sloganeering ‘Siddham’, Jagan expressed confidence in retaining the tenure for the next five with a thumping majority. He assured his cadre that the YSRCP would come back to power with more than 151 assembly seats and 22 MPs.
Jagan contested as an MLA from the Pulivendula constituency. His wife, Bharathi Reddy, also campaigned all over the constituency before the elections.
