Ambati Rambabu’s Controversial Comments on Home Minister Anitha’s Caste

Friday, April 18, 2025

Former Minister Ambati Rambabu has raised serious allegations against Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Anitha, accusing her of posting content on social media that targets party workers and subsequently filing SC/ST Atrocities cases against them. Rambabu further questioned her caste, expressing uncertainty over it. He criticized Anitha for her conflicting statements, highlighting that she once claimed she would carry a Bible but later identified herself as a Hindu, which he finds contradictory.

Rambabu also alleged that Anitha only embraced the SC category when filing cases against opposition party workers. He accused her of using oppressive tactics to silence criticism of the government’s failures. According to Rambabu, Anitha holds little real power, with everything being managed by Minister Nara Lokesh. He also pointed out the inconsistency in how social media posts are handled, questioning why action is taken against posts directed at coalition leaders but not those targeting Jagan.

Additionally, Rambabu brought attention to TDP leader Ayyanna Patrudu’s past derogatory comments about Jagan, for which a complaint was filed, urging authorities to take action against him as well. He strongly opposed the filing of SC/ST Atrocities cases against YSRCP’s social media activists, vowing to fight these charges legally. Concluding his statements, Rambabu emphasized that the public is closely monitoring the actions of the ruling coalition.
