Amaravati Found safe For Rains, whereas Hyderabad Turns Havoc with Heavy Rains

Friday, December 5, 2025

The YSRCP, which has been spreading the misinformation that the capital Amaravati, located on the banks of the Krishna River, will be submerged even with a little rain, is widely spreading the news in its media and social media that it has been submerged due to the rains that have been falling for the past few days.

However, in reality, while the Hyderabad metropolis is in turmoil due to the rains, the public life is becoming miserable with traffic jams here and there, and many roads and colonies are turning into ponds, all key areas in Amaravati remain safe. Traffic is continuing as usual. Construction work on the capital is also underway.

All areas within the capital area, including Krishnayapalem, Mandadam, Nelapadu, Lingayapalem, Velagapudi, Rayapudi, Dondapadu, and Uddandarayunipalem, are extremely safe. There is nothing but puddles of water that usually occur during the rains. Even the crop fields are not waterlogged. No signs of submergence were seen at all the buildings and roads currently under construction by the state government in the core capital, except for traces of water standing here and there. ‘

The Kondaveeti stream flowing from Amaravati was dammed near Tadikonda and broke into the crop fields. But that effect was not seen anywhere in Amaravati. There is not even a drop of water at the Seed Axis Road and AP CRDA office in the capital. Workers are also doing their work well on Thursday. There is no water standing at the four structures being constructed opposite the CRDA building.

There is not even a drop of water at the MLA and MLC building complex being constructed at Nelapadu Junction. There was no water stagnation anywhere on the road leading from Seed Axis to the High Court, the ministerial buildings being constructed next to that road, and the judges’ residences.

Not even a drop of water stagnated at the current High Court. The iconic High Court, GAD, and Secretariat towers in Nelapadu were not affected by the rain. The water coming from the fields flooded the raft foundation after a gully collapsed at Tower 1 and Tower 2. Work is currently being done to fill the gully there. It is noteworthy that there was no water stagnation in the area where the iconic Assembly is being built.

There was no hindrance to work at the buildings of the Chief Secretaries and Secretaries. Only a slight ingress of water into the roads in the capital hindered work. There was only a slight water stagnation at one place on the road leading to the High Court. There was no hindrance to traffic.
