The two parties TDP and Janasena have officially been in a grand alliance and they are sworn to dethrone the ruling party YSRCP in the upcoming general elections of 2024. However, the national party BJP has other plans.
TDP, JSP, and BJP formed an alliance in 2014 which resulted in forming a government back then but things changed when TDP walked out of the NDA alliance in 2018 protesting for the Special Status. JSP however stood in alliance with NDA but coming to the 2024 polls, BJP is not in the mood to extend its support to the JSP-TDP alliance. Political experts believe that BJP is on friendly terms with YSRCP as their MP’s support is needed for the Saffron party to win in Parliament elections so it chose to stay away as far as AP is concerned. Both Pawan Kalyan from JSP and BJP state leaders who migrated from TDP in the past are still trying to get BJP into alliance in the state but the National BJP leaders are maintaining their silence.
If case BJP agrees to the alliance in AP, then both JSP and TDP together should sacrifice 15 plus seats to the BJP candidates, which adds more problems to already existing seat sharing between CBN and PK. In conclusion, TDP-JSP will go for 2024 polls without BJP against YSRCP.
