Former UP Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav extended solidarity with former chief minister and YCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, demanding President’s rule in Andhra Pradesh.

Alleging more than 30 YCP workers were killed in the state after a change of government and an attempted murder took place against more than 300 people. Jagan accused that `Nara Lokesh’s Red Book’ is ruling the state, but not the Indian Constitution. He said that Lokesh has been keeping hoardings in the state openly declaring `Red Book’ that indicates who should be attacked and how to be harassed.

He alleged disrupting the spirit of democracy in the state TDP goons have been destroying government and private properties. He claimed that more than one thousand illegal cases have been filed during the last one and half month. He also said that Lokesh had issued clear instructions to the police asking them not to take any action even if his party members attack and destroy properties.

Moreover, the YCP chief alleged that hundreds of houses and large acres of crops are also being destroyed. He claimed that during his regime he had never encouraged such attacks and atrocities

Expressing his solidarity with Jaganmohan Reddy’s anger and concerns, Akhilesh Yadav condemned the violence going on in AP. He said winning and losing is natural in politics, but those in power should maintain restraint. He advised the TDP government to take care of people’s problems and listen to others.

After seeing photos and videos exhibited there, Akhilesh deplored attacks on the opposition activists soon after change of government in the state.  He made it clear that attacking in broad daylight, killing, destroying their properties, filing illegal cases against those who are in favor of the opposition party, harassing them, and also attempting to kill the elected representatives together, are not acceptable in a democratic system.

Jagan alleged that athe formation of the TDP coalition government in the state, anarchy and wild rule has been going on for the last 45 days. Endless atrocities are happening. Peace and security has completely deteriorated. Indiscriminate killings, assaults, destruction of property. The aim of the government is to undermine YSRCP, he added.
