Senior YSR Congress Party leader and Lok Sabha leader Peddireddy Mithun Reddy, who was released on bail after spending more than two months in AP liquor case has been assigned key tasks by the former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy to focus on Anantapur and Nellore districts.
As these two combined districts are now turned as fortress for TDP and YCP is facing existential crisis, after coming from jail he was appointed as incharge for these districts. He is likely to meet party leaders from Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai and Nellore districts in the next two to three days. He will supervise the party activities at the field level and complete the work on the formation of committees.
It is known that after his arrest in the liquor case, the responsibilities of the regional coordinator of Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai and Nellore districts were handed over to former ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Karumuri Nageswara Rao. When Mithun Reddy was not available, the two of them coordinated the party leaders, district presidents and constituency in-charges of these three districts.
With the recent release of Mithun Reddy on bail, party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has reappointed him as the regional coordinator. The party central office has already issued an official statement to this effect. In this context, Mithun Reddy will now focus on party activities on a full-fledged basis. The presidents of these three districts will meet with the in-charges of the Assembly/Lok Sabha constituencies.
Party sources say that they will soon tour the respective districts extensively. It is reported that a road map has also been prepared for this. There are also opportunities to meet social media activists at the constituency level.
It is reported that he is giving priority to reaching the people at the village level that the liquor case is illegal, and through this, it is reported that a future action plan has been drawn up to inform everyone in detail about the misinformation being spread by the ruling Telugu Desam Party alliance.
