Adani Group has come forward with huge investment proposals to accelerate the development of AP, in the fields of Amaravati Inner Ring Road, data centers, artificial intelligence, IT, mines, ports and tourism. It said that lakhs of people will be given employment.
A huge team from Adani Group including Adani Group MD Rajesh Adani, Adani Ports, SEZs and Cements Division MD Karan Adani came to AP. They met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and explained the road map of their group’s investment proposals in the state.
Chandrababu directed the officials to examine the possibilities of implementing the projects that contribute to the all-round development of the state in the proposals made by the Adani Group. He said that AP will contribute to leapfrog in fields like data centers, artificial intelligence and IT.
Adani Company has come forward to undertake the construction of Rajdhani Inner Ring Road entirely at its own cost. It has expressed readiness to make some changes in the IRR alignment prepared so far and take the project forward. A ropeway will be constructed connecting Bhavani Island, Rajdhani Seed Access Road, Kanakadurga Temple, Bus Stand and Railway Station.
It proposed to bring the best available ropeway to suit the geographical conditions here and install it on the Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer – DBFOT model. Under the DBFOT scheme, a desalination plant will be set up in Visakhapatnam to produce 100 million liters of fresh water per day from sea water.
They explained that Appikonda Beach is suitable for this and an investment of Rs.800 crore will be made for this. Green energy will be used for the operation of the water production plant using reverse osmosis technology. Moreover, the capacity of Krishnapatnam port will be increased from 78 million tons to 330 million tons and the number of berths will be increased to 42 from the current 13 berths, Adani Group said.
It explained that another 2189.86 acres is required for the expansion of the port and 1033 acres of forest land has to be obtained for the first stage of forest environmental clearances.
The capacity of Gangavaram port will also be increased from 64 million tons to 200 million tons. In 2022, Gangavaram Port Limited requested to change the land records so that the acquired lands are named after them. It said that out of the 1800 acres allotted earlier, the pending 217.57 acres should be handed over to them.
