Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has revealed his deep admiration for acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam, expressing a long-held desire to collaborate with him. The actor shared this during a recent interview as part of the promotional activities for his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by R.S. Prasanna.
“I have been a big fan of Mani Ratnam for a long time and have always wanted to work with him,” Aamir said. “We’ve met several times and even discussed various ideas at his residence. At one point, we had locked a project titled Lajjo. If all had gone well, that film would have released by now. Unfortunately, it didn’t materialize due to unforeseen circumstances.”
Despite the setback, Aamir emphasized that his admiration for Mani Ratnam remains unchanged. “I truly appreciate his style of filmmaking and I’m confident that one day, we will work together on a film,” he added.
