A Task Force with Chandrababu As Chairman, TATA Group chief For Swarnandhra Vision 2047

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced the formation of a special task force for the promotion of investments in the state with himself as Chairman and TATA Group Chairman Chandrasekharan as Co-Chairman. Chandrasekharan, besides a delegation of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) met him and discussed measures to be taken for the industrial development in the state by formulating Swarnandhra Pradesh- Vision 2047 document.

The task force will work on the measures to be taken for industrial development as part of the vision 2047 of the state government with the aim of making AP the number 1 state. The State of Art Center for Global Leadership has decided to be established in Amaravati in partnership with CII.

The state government has already started working on the formulation of new policies in about six departments with the main objective of attracting investments. The CM is making extensive efforts to instill confidence in the industrialists and get investments for the state. Efforts have been intensified to achieve large-scale investments in the state from central government sector organizations on one hand and private companies on the other.

The Chief Minister discussed with the Chairman of the Tata Group about the establishment of TCS Development Center in Visakhapatnam and the expansion of Air India and Vistara Airlines in the state. Also on setting up solar, telecommunications and food processing industries in the state.

 “A meeting was held with my friend, TATA Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran. We will form a special task force with intellectuals and industrialists as members. The government is a special task force for the economic development of Swarnandhra Pradesh 2047. Chandrasekaran will be the co-chair of this task force,” Chandrababu announced.

“TATA has agreed to be a partner in the GLC to be set up by CII in Amaravati. TATA also will be a partner in the Center for Global Leadership on Competitiveness. We will take advantage of the opportunity to set up a TCS development center in Visakhapatnam. We have explored many partnerships in multiple fields by improving AP Air connectivity with Air India and Vistara,” the Chief Minister added.

Meanwhile, CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee also has a meeting with Chandrababu Naidu. On this occasion, the establishment of Global Leadership Center at Amaravati by CII was discussed. 

After the meeting, CM Chandrababu X posted that the government and CII are planning to set up an industry forum based on the recommendations of the task force on economic development.The CM said that through programs like CII Multi-Skill Training Institute and CII Model Career Centre, we will focus on enhancing skills and employment among the youth of AP.
