The TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu has got a sigh of relief as the AP High Court has halted the proceedings of CID.
As we all know, the ACB court has dismissed the house custody petition filed by the Chandrababu which has led them to approach the High Court today. Chandrababu Naidu’s legal team has moved a lunch motion petition against the proceedings of the CID to quash the remand of Chandrababu. Siddharth Luthra who is representing Chandrababu Naidu has argued that the arrest is illegal.
After hearing the arguments, the High Court has adjourned the quash petition to the 19th of this month and also asked the AP CID to file a counter on this. During this, Chandrababu Naidu’s lawyer has put forward the request of not allowing CID to take CBN under custody as the decision on quash petition is yet to be known. The High Court responded positively to this and directed CID not to seek CBN’s custody until Monday.
