Kuppam: Decades of anticipation ended for the people of Kuppam as Krishna river waters, diverted from the Srisailam reservoir through Pothireddypadu, finally reached the region. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his delight on social media, stating, “What I promised then… today I have delivered.”
Recalling his earlier oath on the assembly floor, Chandrababu shared a video highlighting his pledge to bring water to Kuppam via Madanapalle and Palamaner, and also ensure Pulivendula receives water. He emphasized that his commitment has now been fulfilled.
The arrival of Krishna waters sparked celebrations among local Telugu Desam Party workers, leaders, and coalition members. Large crowds gathered at the canal, offering coconuts, performing aarti, and welcoming the waters with fanfare. Party members waved TDP flags and expressed their joy with loud cheers, with videos of the celebrations shared on the party’s official social media accounts.
