Leaders of both BRS and BJP paid glorious tributes to Sardar Papanna Goud, who fought against the Mughal empire and stood bravely against the oppressive feudal system. The birth anniversary of Papanna Goud was celebrated all over Telangana with great enthusiasm.
BRS Working President KT Rama Rao paid tributes to Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud, a symbol of Bahujan valor and said that he was a great warrior who sacrificed his all for the oppressed people and for the self-respect of Bahujans. He said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that Papanna Goud, who fought against tyrannical rule and worked for the upliftment of the oppressed classes, was born in Telangana.
“Grateful tributes to Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud, a symbol of Bahujan valor, on his birth anniversary. Sarvai Papanna is a great warrior who sacrificed his all for the oppressed people and for the self-respect of Bahujans. “It is a matter of pride for all of us that Papanna Goud, who fought against tyrannical rule and worked for the upliftment of the oppressed sections, was born in Telangana,” he said.
“The KCR government has decided to officially celebrate the birth anniversary and death anniversary of Sardar Sarvai Papanna with the intention of passing on the fighting spirit of Sarvai Papanna, a Bahujan hero who worked for social and political equality, to future generations. Remembering the greatness of the social revolutionary Sardar Sarvai Papanna.. Johar Papanna!” KTR added.
Telangana state BJP President N Ramchander Rao while paying tribute to Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud expressed his gratitude to the state government for taking a decision to install Papana Goud statue on Tank Bund. The birth anniversary of Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud was celebrated at the BJP state office, by the BJP OBC Morcha and Geeta Cell.
Rao recalled the invaluable services rendered by Papanna Goud and said he fought and became a martyr for poor, downtrodden and marginalized communities in Telangana. The BJP OBC Morcha along with other organizations have resolved to carry forward ideals of Papanna Goud, he said.
Stating that the only way to fight injustice was through struggle and that struggle should be democratic, Rao said during the Mughal and British regime our country has faced numerous attacks, with women being subjected to atrocities and injustice. Sarvai Papanna Goud emerged as a hero to fight against such acts, he added.
Calling to follow Papanna Goud ideals he said whenever there is injustice or atrocities in society, we must have the fighting spirit. Former MP Boora Narsaiah Goud, BJP OBC Morcha state president Anand Goud, party state spokesperson Veerender Goud, and Hyderabad Central District president Deepak Reddy were also present.
