Chief Minister Revanth Reddy threatened that they would depose Prime Minister Narendra Modi if the BC bill was not cleared by the Center. He accused the Center of being negligent in the creation of BC reservations. He was angry that it had not been approved even after 4 months since the bill was sent to the Center.
Telangana Congress staged a massive dharna at Delhi on Wednesday demanding the Center to immediately clear the 42 percent BC reservation bill proposed by the Telangana Government. He deplored that the Telangana government was forced to stage a dharna but the Center was not paying attention.
He made it clear that if BC reservations were not given, he would depose the Central Government and make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister and achieve reservations.
Strongly refuting Telangana BJP leaders claims that the BC Reservation bill was intended to provide reservations for Muslims, he asserted that they are intended to provide reservations for BCs, but not for Muslims.
Revanth Reddy lamented that the BJP was blocking BC reservations in the name of Muslims.
Telangana Congress leaders went to great lengths for BC reservations. To this end, they staged a dharna for the implementation of the BC reservations bill at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. They shouted slogans that they would not leave until BC reservations were given. CM Revanth Reddy participated in this dharna and said that he will fight from the streets to Delhi for BC reservations.
He said that the bill on BC reservations has been approved in the assembly and sent to the President. He was angry that the President has not approved the bill so far. He said that the India block will support him to put pressure on the central government. He expressed concern that they were unable to get an appointment from the President to present their case and sought immediate clearance for the BC Bill.
Revanth Reddy demanded that caste census be done in the census in the country like in Telangana. He expressed suspicion that Modi and Amit Shah might have told the President not to give an appointment to them. He made it clear that their fight will not stop until BC reservations are achieved.
