Jagan panic of Arrest As `Ultimate Beneficiary In Liquor scam As SIT probe Moves Aggressively

Saturday, December 6, 2025

Former Chief Minister and YSRCP Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who has taken SIT probe into AP liquor scam lightly at initial stages, is now in a panic of arrest as SIT is moving aggressively focusing on the `ultimate beneficiary’.

Starting from Raj Kasireddy to Mithun Reddy, many of Jagan’s close associates have been arrested! Looking at the preliminary charge sheet, Jaganmohan Reddy has reportedly come to the conclusion that ‘SIT will come to his house’. In this context, he is holding a series of meetings with party seniors on future activities and instilling confidence in the party cadre.

The ‘SIT’ is conducting a very thorough investigation and is tightening a noose around the accused with much technical evidence. The name of former CM Jagan was mentioned in the first charge sheet. With this, it is reported that Tadepalli Palace has come to the conclusion that he will be arrested at any moment.

Jagan has been assuring party leaders and activists that the case will not stand on mere statements. But, with solid technical evidence, the SIT has arrested everyone from Raj Kasireddy to Mithun Reddy and sent them to jail. Party sources say that Jagan has completely lost confidence in him.

Especially after Mithun Reddy’s arrest, the panic has increased. Mithun’s father Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy is a senior leader in the YSRCP. His family has been with Jagan since Jagan founded the YSRCP. Moreover, Mithun Reddy is personally close to Jagan.

It seems that the Peddireddy family is unhappy that the party has not responded adequately to Mithun’s arrest. Although protests were called across the state in solidarity with Mithun, they did not yield much results. In the end, the same situation was also seen in Peddireddy’s home district Chittoor.

If this development continues like this, they fear it will affect the morale of the party cadre.  Since the ‘SIT’ is likely to go further without stopping with Mithun’s arrest, Jaganmohan Reddy has reportedly proposed to get 11 MLAs to resign en masse. He has put this idea to some key leaders.

However, it seems that half of the MLAs have rejected this proposal. They said to be made clear that “we do not know whether the resignations will be accepted immediately or not. If they are accepted, by-elections will be held in six months. If we win, we will get our seats. If we lose in one or two places, our dignity will be lost.”

It is reported that directions were already being sent to the mandal-level leaders to come out on the roads whenever they are called and prepare for protests. They are saying that they are already ‘preparing for unrest’ in the expectation that Jagan will be arrested.
