The Vijayawada ACB court has reserved its verdict on the custody petitions of Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and Venkatesh Naidu in the liquor case. The SIT lawyer argued that the two accused should be given custody for five days. After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court reserved its verdict and said that it will issue orders on the 30th of this month.
The accused are currently in judicial remand in the Vijayawada district jail. Venkatesh Naidu is A34 in this case and Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy is A38. The government lawyer argued in the court that the liquor scam money was used to distribute to voters in the general elections held last year.
He said that several public representatives also distributed the liquor scam money. He wanted to get complete information from the accused on whose orders the money was distributed? How much money was distributed. He asked the court to give the accused five days of custody. L
The Vijayawada ACB court has also reserved its verdict on the anticipatory bail petition filed by Chevireddy Mohit Reddy in the liquor case. It has been said that the verdict will be pronounced on the 30th of this month. Chevireddy Mohit Reddy is A39 in the liquor case.
The SIT lawyer argued in the court that Mohit Reddy moved the liquor scam cash in the TUDA chairman’s car before the last elections. The court was told that there is all the evidence, including CCTV footage, photos, and cell tower location, that the car went to Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
The court was asked not to grant anticipatory bail to the accused Mohit Reddy. Meanwhile, the SIT has intensified the investigation in the liquor bribery case. In this context, the affair of Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and his close friend Venkatesh Naidu came to light. The bribe money was initially sent to Venkatesh Naidu’s residence in Hyderabad. From there, Chevireddy’s team transferred approximately Rs. 50 crore to Rs. 60 crore to AP.
