In a stunning turn of events that’s shaking Andhra Pradesh politics, Congress leader and AP PCC chief Y.S. Sharmila has made serious allegations against her brother and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Sharmila accused Jagan of emotionally betraying their mother, Y.S. Vijayamma, and dragging her into an ugly legal battle over property and business shares.
Speaking with deep emotion, Sharmila declared, “Jagan has rewritten political history by becoming the kind of leader who betrays his own mother. She lives in silent pain every day because of the hurt caused by her own son.”
The heart of the dispute lies in the ownership and control of shares in the Saraswati Group. According to Sharmila, Jagan had personally signed off on gifting those shares to their mother. However, he has now filed an affidavit with the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), claiming that the share transfer process wasn’t completed and accusing both his mother and sister of colluding against him.
Sharmila didn’t hold back in her response. “He is spinning lies to take back what he once gave our mother out of love—or so we thought. Who gifts shares to their own mother and then sues her to take them back?” she questioned, visibly distressed.
She further criticized Jagan’s move to legally challenge their mother, stating, “This is not just political drama—it’s personal betrayal. Jagan won’t be remembered for his governance, but for putting his own mother through mental and emotional trauma.”
Revealing more personal details, Sharmila said that after their father and former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy passed away, she was left out of the inheritance. “I wasn’t given even a single rupee. The fear that I might one day ask for my rightful share led him to push me out of the party,” she alleged.
Setting the record straight, she clarified, “I am not demanding a share in what Jagan earned on his own. I’m only asking for what rightfully belongs to me in the family’s joint ventures. And I will not step back.”
This deeply personal rift between two high-profile political siblings is now unfolding in public view, turning into a legal and political storm that’s capturing national attention.
