Senior YCP leader and former minister RK Roja described the Tirupati stampede incident as a government murder and alleged that it was not an accidental incident at all. She criticized the negligence of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for being clearly visible in this.
Roja made it clear that the incident happened due to the negligence of the TTD administration, the endowment and the Home Minister appointed by Chandrababu. She demanded that criminal cases be registered against all of them. She compared this with the Sandhya Theater stampede incident in Hyderabad.
Showing a copy of the FIR at the press conference, she recalled that when Allu Arjun went to the theater to watch the benefit show of the movie Pushpa 2, a scuffle broke out without his involvement and a woman named Revathi died.
Roja stated that a case has been filed against Allu Arjun under Section 105 of the Indian Penal Code in this incident.
But, she wondered that in Tirupati even though the administration was aware about the arrival of lakhs of people for Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan tokens the administration failed miserably in making necessary arrangements.
Roja said that everyone from Chandrababu to the TTD Chairman, the Governing Council and the District SP will have to take responsibility. But, he lamented that the authorities have filed a case under 194 BNS in the FIR and washed their hands.
RK Roja questioned what the organizers of the `Haindava Sankharavam’ would do if six devotees died? She demanded that those Peethadhipas should come out and act against Chandrababu. She also demanded that Prime Minister Modi should also respond to this.
The former minister deplored that atrocities in the state are happening after the coalition government came to power. She questioned what Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who calls himself a Sanatana Yodha, is doing now? She demanded that cases should be filed against everyone and an investigation should be conducted.
Roja alleged that the present situation has come about because of the incompetent TTD Chairman, SP and Collector. She said that they have no devotion to anyone, but perform bhajan of Chandrababu. She said that the TTD Chairman does not know what kind of facilities should be provided for Vaikuntha Ekadashi.
She wondered how such a person could be given the post of Chairman? Referring to the suspension of DSP for the stampede incident, Roja alleged that he was made as a scapegoat to save the SP.
