Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that educated women should not remain at home as housewives. He said that effective use of human resources will be made through co-working spaces and work from home. He instructed the officials to explore employment opportunities for women through these.
CM Chandrababu held a review with the officials at the Secretariat on the development of co-working spaces and neighborhood working spaces in the state. He suggested that working spaces should be created for those living in villages and small towns by providing training and opportunities.
He said that women would get wide opportunities with work from home and coworking centers. He said that educated women still live at home and if work from home is made available to them, they will work online and get employment.
The CM said that women have a lot of efficiency and skill and many are confined to their homes due to family affairs and responsibilities, and if they are given opportunities, economic activities will increase.
Officials explained that the target is to make one and a half lakh seats available by the end of December 2025 in the establishment of co-working space centers. They said that these working centers will be set up in government and private buildings, with an area of 50 to 60 square feet per seat.
They explained that 22 lakh square feet of space has been identified in private and government buildings so far. The CM suggested collecting information about how many people are currently working from home in the state and what their needs are.
The CM instructed the officials to identify buildings in 5 places in the state for the establishment of Ratan Tata Innovation Hubs. He clarified that industries and educational institutions in that area should be connected to the innovation hubs.
The CM reviewed the AP Mission Karmayogi program. The government signed an agreement with the Capacity Building Commission in October. The CM discussed the AP Capacity Building Policy with the officials. The government has focused on skill development of government employees and officials through training programs.
