The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, marks a significant event for the alliance government – 125 days in power. Today, he will attend a very crucial meeting of party representatives. The meeting will comprise MPs, MLCs, assembly in-charges, and other top-level officials at the party’s central office.

The agenda includes eight essentials on which the government has bagged achievements over the past 125 days, TDP membership registrations, the Village Festival, the execution of Super Six commitments, and policies on alcohol and sand. They will also deliberate over the Graduate MLC elections and elections for irrigation associations. Chandrababu wants to get feedback on numerous local issues from the participants.

Naidu is also increasingly getting worried about the behavior of some MLAs who are from his party and are sabotaging the recently introduced sand and liquor policy. Statements by them in public view may even bring a bad name to the government, and Naidu may feel that those incidents should be taken care of personally. Further, he will hold discussions with other NDA constituents like Janasena and BJP over cooperation and interview aspirants for nominated positions in the second round of talks.

This conference is going to be a watershed moment in determining the future of the party and the agenda is going to be focused on pressing concerns facing the state.
