Education Minister Nara Lokesh revealed that the students of 1000 schools that have introduced the CBSE syllabus will write the class 10 exams this year with the state syllabus. He said that the ill-advised decisions of the previous YCP government and publicity had become the bane of the mad students.
He said that CBSE has changed the examination system in one thousand schools. He mentioned that there is a difference between state exams and CBSE exam pattern. He said that the teachers will have to be given special training to teach in the CBSE examination system. He recalled that the students will also have to be prepared for the CBSE examination system from the foundation level.
The TDP government feels that the YCP government has taken hasty decisions without providing training to teachers in the CBSE examination system. The government has announced that 90 percent of the students have failed in the internal assessment conducted under the CBSE examination system.
Keeping in view the future of the students, Lokesh said that the students studying in 1000 schools across the state have been given the opportunity to write exams under the state board system. From the 2025- 26 academic year, it has been decided to bring changes in the examination system from the 6th standard and steps will be taken to increase the ability of the students.
The officials have been ordered to conduct an internal assessment for the students who are going to write the 10th class exams this year. Lokesh said that an internal assessment was conducted with 80,000 tabs and 90 percent of students failed in the internal exams. Not a single student passed in 326 schools, he added.
He said that 77,478 students wrote the English exam and 59,518 failed the exam. In the academic year 2025- 26, the officials were directed to bring changes in the examination system from the 6th standard and take measures to increase the ability of the students.
