YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy’s daughter Neha Reddy faced a backlash in the AP High Court. The court rejected her request to give status quo in the case of demolition of the concrete retaining wall built very close to the sea at Bhimili beach in Visakha district.
The bench headed by Chief Justice recently issued an order to stop the constructions there and take legal action against the illegal constructions. The Single Judge made it clear that they cannot issue interim orders as long as these orders are in force.
The petitioner was advised that if necessary, she can join the PIL before the CJ Bench as a respondent and request for modification of the previous orders. On the other hand, Visakha Jana Sena corporator Murthy Yadav was allowed to join as a defendant in the lawsuit filed by Neha Reddy.
The hearing was adjourned for a week. High Court judge Justice B. Krishnamohan gave an order to this effect on Monday. Murthy Yadav had earlier filed a PIL before the CJ bench challenging the construction of a permanent structure near the sea at Bhimili (Bheemunipatnam) beach in violation of CRZ (Coastal Regulation Zone) norms.
The court that conducted the inquiry ordered the construction work to stop immediately. Authorities were ordered to seize the machines. It has been clarified that action should be taken as per the law in the case of buildings.
With this, Visakha GVMC Assistant City Planner (Zone-1) issued the final order on 18th of this month for the demolition of the protective wall built near Bheemili beach. Challenging these orders, Neha Reddy recently filed a lawsuit before a single judge of the High Court.
The single judge directed the registry to join the suit with a plea before the CJ bench related to the same matter. In this background, the CJ bench conducted an inquiry on the lawsuit filed by Neha Reddy and the PIL filed by Murthy Yadav. It felt that the single judge may examine her plea.
