Electioneering in Andhra Pradesh has reached a crescendo ahead of the upcoming assembly elections which are scheduled to take place in April/May this year. All leading parties have hit on the campaign trail to woo the voters with their freebies and promises.
TDP supremo Chandra Babu Naidu and his family members have dispersed across the state to meet and greet the people in various constituencies. His wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari, who never took part in any political activity before 2023, also started to involve in road shows and public gatherings after he was arrested by the government in September last year.
After taking a short break following CBN’s release on bail, Bhuvaneshwari is back to her political activity recently. As part of the election campaign, she is currently touring Kuppam constituency, where Chandra Babu Naidu won as MLA seven times since 1989.
During her speech, Bhuvaneshwari made interesting comments about upcoming elections which caught everyone by surprise. She stated that she wants to contest as TDP MLA of Kuppam this time by giving rest to Chandra Babu Naidu who has been serving the district for the past 30 years.
Asking for an honest opinion from the attendees, Bhuvaneshwari made this proposal and it drew a huge applause from all.
Though she intended to know about the public pulse, such a strategy from Chandra Babu Naidu cannot be ruled out. If Bhuvaneshwari contests from Kuppam, he will need to shift to a new constituency.
