Former Union Minister and senior lady leader of BJP, Daggubati Purandeswari has been appointed as the new Chief of BJP in Andhra Pradesh. The announcement came today in the morning hours from Delhi confirming the same.
The BJP biggies Modi, Amit Shah, and JP Nadda have been discussing a lot of issues regarding the two Telugu states for the past couple of weeks in order to take the party towards power. As a result, they have taken in a lot of observations, suggestions, and complaints from the leaders of the two Telugu states and made crucial changes, especially for the party heads of the states. Thus they have appointed Purandeswari as the AP-BJP Chief and the Union Minister Kishan Reddy to run the Saffron wing in Telangana.
They believed that the party needed someone senior who also had experience in central politics to have a good connection with the central leaders. As they aren’t satisfied with Somu Veerraju, the daughter of the late NTR got the opportunity. However, the interesting thing in this new change is the fact that Purandeswari and TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu are not on good terms with each other and this might dent a possible grand alliance among TDP, BJP, and Janasena in Andhra Pradesh. One has to wait and see how Purandeswari deals with things as far as AP’s BJP wing is concerned.
