The opposition party TDP is trying on two things at a time. On one side, the campaigning is taken care of by Nara Lokesh with his padayatra, on the flip side, the party Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu is finalizing the candidate’s list.
Among the Sureshot constituencies of TDP, Gannavaram town has been one of the fortresses of TDP for the past couple of terms. However, the sitting MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi who won with the TDP’s ticket later changed sides and joined YSRCP ditching Babu. Since Vamsi is chucked out of the party, TDP is searching for the right choice to the field in Gannavaram, who can win against Vamsi and re-conquer the town.
According to the sources close to the TDP, close to six people are super enthusiastically competing for the MLA ticket in Gannavaram. One among them is the Industrialist Puttagunta Satish but he has not shown any interest. Another aspirant Arjunudu is financially weak and would not go hard on the opponent so the chances are almost zero. In this regard, Babu is also looking at the couple Gadde Ram Mohan and his wife Gadde Anuradha but none knows if either of them gets the ticket.
The spokesperson of TDP, Pattabhi is also showing his interest in contesting from Gannavaram but the party bigwigs are not sure if he can work at the booth level for a sure win. Last but not the least, the YSRCP MLA of Mylavaram, Vasantha Krishna Prasad who was moving away from the YSRCP is also rumored to join TDP only to contest from Gannavaram. It is high time for CBN to fix the candidate without any delay so that the aspirant can work from scratch.
