In what could be a heinous crime, an acid attack happened today morning in New Delhi on a 17-year-old by two unidentified people wearing helmets on a bike. The incident happened in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka.
According to the CCTV information, the girl along with her sister is walking by the side of the road and at around 9 AM, two unidentified people came on a bike not revealing their faces throwing acid at her. The shocking footage was captured by the CCTV where the girl ran in pain after the acid attack. She was taken to the nearby hospital and is being treated.
The girl’s father told the media that the acid was splashed all over her body and even entered her eyes. The girl named a suspect to the Police and he was detained. The doctors confirmed 8 percent burns and how deep the burns were would be known between 48-72 hours of the injury. Her condition is currently stable, say the doctors.
